WEST ORANGE-COVE CISD presented its 2023–2024 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) during the public hearing at the start of the March 24 board meeting. The TAPR packet and a summary had been posted on the district website for more than two weeks so patrons could review the data and raise questions at the hearing.
The presentation noted that overall STAAR achievement "was pretty much the same" as the results presented the previous summer. Dr. Haynes invited questions from the audience and trustees; no patrons asked questions during the public hearing. The district did not announce additional data or follow-up items in open session at that time.
