Athletic director reports team records and upcoming spring schedules to Wellington ISD board

During the Feb. 10 meeting the district’s Athletic Director presented a summary of recent team records and upcoming events for winter and spring sports.
The minutes record varsity girls at 22-9 (No. 2 seed in big school) preparing to play Stratford in the Bi-District championship and varsity boys at 14-12 (No. 2 seed) with games scheduled against Highland Park and WT High. Junior varsity and middle-school records for multiple grade levels were also listed. Spring sports were announced to begin later in February and early March, with Skyrocket Golf tournaments on Feb. 25–26, the first baseball game on Feb. 22, Rocket Relays on Feb. 27–28 and tennis beginning in the first week of March.
The minutes do not identify the athletic director by name in the Athletic Director’s Report entry; the board had previously evaluated the athletic director in closed session.
