Cypress Creek Solar donates $15,000 for pickleball courts at World War II Park

City Administrator Sandy Wells told the council that work started this week to convert old tennis courts at World War II Park into pickleball courts after the city received an unanticipated $15,000 donation from Cypress Creek Solar Company. "They started work on those today over at the World War 2 park," she said, noting that supplies were in hand and the city expects the project to continue through the scheduled prep and construction phases.
Wells said the donation was in addition to previously budgeted transfers and that staff will track the project budget and timing as the parks plan proceeds through SEPA review. Council members said many residents are excited about the new courts and thanked the company donors and parks staff.
