Wellington Independent School District Holds Public Hearing on 2023'4 Annual Performance Report

On Jan. 13, 2025, the Wellington Independent School District Board of Education held a public hearing on the district's Annual Performance Report. President Cody Phillips opened the hearing and Superintendent Kurt Ashmore reviewed the report's contents, saying the materials include the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) for 2023-24, financial actual information, a report of violent or criminal incidents and academic statistics from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
Superintendent Kurt Ashmore summarized the report's components: "The report also contains each of the campus improvement plans." There were no speakers from the public during the hearing and the board closed the public hearing without public comment. The hearing provided the board with the agency-provided performance and postsecondary-tracking data required for annual review.
