On Aug. 19 the Weimar ISD Board approved a performance stipend plan for the 2024–25 school year that matches the total dollar amount approved for 2023–24 but will be paid in two parts: $2,000 in November as a performance payment and $1,500 in July as a retention payment for employees who return to Weimar ISD for the 2025–26 school year. The motion was made by Joni VanHouten and seconded by April Mikulenka; minutes record unanimous approval.
The plan conditions the retention payment on employees returning for the 2025–26 year. The minutes do not list individual eligibility criteria beyond the return requirement, nor total budgetary cost; the board recorded the policy change as a personnel compensation item for the coming school year.
