Acting Chairperson Kominsky opened the Feb. 2 meeting by reading the Open Public Meetings Act statement, noting that notice was sent to The Record and The Star-Ledger and posted to the municipal website and bulletin board.
Ms. Toro was sworn in as the boards 1st Alternate Member. The board then moved through a slate of officer appointments: Mr. Kominsky was nominated and confirmed as Chairperson, Mr. Cytryn as Vice Chairperson and Mr. Friedman as Second Vice Chairperson. The nominations passed by voice vote with all members in favor.
Borough Attorney nominations were also handled: the board nominated Mr. Zenn and the law firm Cullen & Dykman as Board Attorney, and nominated Mr. Hals and the engineering firm Schwanewede, Hals and Vince as Board Engineer; both nominations passed by voice vote. Acting Chairperson Kominsky read the meeting notice verbatim at the outset: "In accordance with the provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act P.L. 1975, chapter 231, adequate notice has been made of this meeting..."
The reorganization completed the boards formal appointments for 2026 and set the administrative team that will advise on pending land-use applications this year.
