"I'm I'm perturbed about all the phone use on the road. I think it's extremely dangerous," Joe Black said, recounting that a driver nearly struck him while appearing to be on a phone. He told council he braced for impact and that the passing driver ‘‘smiled as he went by on his phone.’’
Black also asked, "Where do we stand on the mural project?" and was told by a council member that the mural committee is still waiting on a grant. The chair thanked him for his comments and the council did not take action during the meeting; staff did not provide further timelines for enforcement or mural funding during this session.
