Ryan Coleman presented a slate of proposed policy changes identified as Policy Update 126. The revisions included clarified grievance timelines, employee standards of conduct, a minimum requirement of two annual parent–teacher conferences, updated special education reporting timelines, revised attendance-release language for religious instruction, changes to the public comment period, and policies on crisis intervention and parent notification.
Beau Williams moved to adopt the referenced policies as recommended by the superintendent; the motion passed 6–1 with Brandy Schoener recorded as the lone "no" vote. Schoener later noted she was uncomfortable approving the superintendent’s contract as written, citing comparative data she had reviewed from TASB and TEA; the policy vote, however, was the single 6–1 split recorded at this meeting.
The board did not detail specific implementation steps for each policy during the session, and the approved language will be incorporated into district policy documents per standard procedures.
