Trustees authorized the superintendent to begin executing a spending plan for the $111.5 million of remaining proceeds from the May 2021 bond referendum.
During discussion board members and staff cited proposed uses including roughly $18 million for high school additions, approximately $50 million for Construction of a fourth elementary campus, converting the current middle school back into a junior high configuration to create two junior high campuses, a proposed $5 million agricultural barn/farm, and the acquisition of additional land for future needs. Beau Williams moved to approve and authorize the superintendent to initiate the spending plan; the motion passed unanimously, 7–0.
Board members did not adopt detailed contracts or individual project bids at the meeting; the authorization directs the superintendent to begin negotiations and planning steps to implement the spending plan.
