Mayor Anthony Talerico told the council he attended the 2026 New Jersey Complete Streets Summit at Rutgers University and provided updates on downtown redevelopment and planned paving for downtown streets and schools. He said the CBA Committee approved an award for Eatontown schools for a STEM-based woodshop program and noted an update to the zoning ordinance will be required.
The mayor and staff emphasized that redevelopment planning and paving will proceed alongside zoning updates and advised councilmembers that related presentations and legal reviews will follow as plans firm up.
