Eatontown council approves FMERA demolition MOU and funds engineering for Parker Road improvements

The council unanimously approved Resolution 96-2026 to accept a Memorandum of Understanding with the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority to develop demolition plans and specifications for Buildings 1108, 1109, 1110, 1123 and 1124 on the Main Post, with FMERA covering related costs. The resolution authorizes the mayor to execute the MOU.
Council also adopted Resolution 97-2026 authorizing T&M Associates to perform engineering services for Parker Road improvements tied to two NJDOT Municipal Aid grants ($380,548 in FY2025 and $355,018 in FY2026). The resolution caps T&M's authorization at an amount not to exceed $311,200 and requires the CFO to certify available capital funds. Other consent items included emergency temporary appropriations totalling $285,000 and adoption of a 2025 LOSAP volunteer list for the Eatontown First Aid Department.
