Isaias Vidal, At-Risk & Safety Programs Administrator for Valley View ISD, presented the Districtwide Intruder Detection Audit conducted by the Texas Education Agency and said the district is prioritizing student and staff safety.
“The top priority of Valley View ISD and the state of Texas is keeping students and staff safe every day,” Vidal said, adding that the audit helps identify how campuses can reduce access by unauthorized individuals. Vidal said specific audit details would not be shared publicly because disclosure could compromise campus security, and that remaining specifics would be discussed in executive session and with the Safety & Security Committee.
