SHAC highlighted ongoing programs across campuses: substance-abuse prevention, anti-vaping instruction, human development curriculum and internet safety lessons. The committee also emphasized a districtwide focus on hygiene — including expanded handwashing education through interactive lessons and campus awareness campaigns — and plans to review and improve the district's lice procedures to better support students and families. Pharis said the committee intends to continue strengthening health curriculum alignment and to pursue partnerships such as the Texas State FESTA program for fentanyl awareness.
