Wimberley ISD approves donation of 7 acres for new fire station near Blue Hole Primary

The Wimberley Independent School District Board of Trustees on March 23 approved a resolution to donate 7 acres of district land to Hays County Emergency Services District No. 4 for a fire station adjacent to Blue Hole Primary School.
Will Conley moved that the Board approve the resolution to donate the seven acres; Ken Strange seconded the motion and the measure passed Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1. The action followed a presentation to the Board on the proposed Fire Station 42 and the partnership with the district to improve emergency response in the area.
Fire Chief Christopher Robbins had earlier outlined the proposed facility’s design and location and described anticipated improvements to emergency response capabilities in and around the district. The Board commended the interlocal cooperation during the discussion but took no additional conditions on the donation in the public motion recorded at the meeting.
The Board adjourned the meeting at 9:25 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for April 20, 2026.
