City announces Hometown Hero banners, Jazz in the Meadows, a POA clinic and July 4 parade applications

City staff announced a Hometown Hero veteran banner program on Kirchoff Road (May–October), Jazz in the Meadows on Feb. 28 at Rolling Meadows High School, a free Power of Attorney & short-term guardianship clinic on March 31 at City Hall, and a call for July 4 parade participants with a June 25 application deadline.
City Manager Rob Sabo summarized several community programs and events included in the Feb. 24 agenda packet. He said the city will display Hometown Hero veteran banners on Kirchoff Road from May through October for sponsored veterans and directed residents to the city website or Communications/Events Coordinator Lori Ciezak for details. He also noted Jazz in the Meadows will run Feb. 28 at Rolling Meadows High School with more than 60 bands performing.
Sabo also announced a free Power of Attorney & Short-term Guardianship Clinic set for March 31 at City Hall and encouraged interested residents to contact the Human Services Department to make appointments. Finally, he said planning for the July 4 parade is underway and that applications to participate are due Friday, June 25, with no fee to enter.
