Madrid updates roads, park dock and infrastructure drawings; CHIPS funds flagged as depleted

Highway Superintendent Bill Barkley told the board that Buck Road is slated for a double seal coat and that the town's CHIPS funding will be depleted by the two-mile project. The minutes record that the Buck Road project will exhaust CHIPS dollars allocated for that work.
The board was also told the dock by the town park has been destroyed; Bill Barkley will obtain quotes for replacement. Separately, infrastructure drawings require updates to satisfy DOT and Department of Health requirements before the town can begin a competitive bid process. Board members also noted a letter to the County Highway Superintendent requesting a meeting about the curb on Elm Street and discussed possible patching on Depot Street. The minutes record that Louis Maine is conducting a survey at the old town barns and that Rob Rutherford is assisting with highway duties while Bill Barkley is engaged elsewhere; Bill publicly thanked Rob for that assistance.
