Bensenville officials opened a required public hearing Dec. 17 to discuss the village's intent to issue 2025 limited-tax general obligation bonds in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $1,400,000 for capital projects. The finance director told the board that "Every 3 years, the village issues limited tax general obligation bonds."
The director said the notice was published in the newspaper and posted on the village website; when a resident asked, "Other than the newspaper, do you guys publish publicize this information any place else?", staff confirmed the posting on the village website and the Independent. No one else spoke in opposition. The board moved to close the hearing; the motion carried by roll call and the public hearing was closed.
