Officials authorized a second extension with Suburban Laboratories for wastewater sampling and analysis at a 2025 contract value of $72,532.67 and a two-year drinking-water analysis contract not to exceed $21,600. Public Works staff also requested and the board approved a $15,206.85 increase to a purchase order for sodium thiosulfate after seasonal usage and volatile market prices required more chemical than expected.
Public Works described a sole-source OEM purchase of a desiccant wheel (Novel Air) for the Edge facility at $28,376 to replace a mismatched earlier part; staff said the OEM part will be cheaper than the alternative previously purchased and that staff will install to reduce costs. The board approved these contracts and change orders by roll call.
