Council Member Combe summarized a meeting with a property owner and an engineer about proposed park improvements. The plan outlined potential additions and upgrades including a walking path, sprinkler upgrades, converting the baseball infield for multi-sport use, resurfacing the tennis court, relocating basketball standards, adding pickleball courts, a horseshoe area, new playground equipment and dugout signage.
Combe also discussed ADA compliance at the Scout House and a potential ramp-and-railing solution to address drainage and safety concerns. No construction contract or funding appropriation was approved at the Sept. 2 meeting; Council indicated the project is moving forward in planning stages.
