Mayor Cutler explained the council had discussed postponing action until all members could be present, saying the council had "discussed not doing anything on this ordinance until everyone is present." The motion passed without further discussion. The ordinance remains on the agenda for a future meeting when the full council may consider it.
The decision comes after public comment earlier in the meeting opposing wage increases; resident Scott Kendell said he was "not for that" and expressed concern about recent tax increases. No vote on compensation was taken at this meeting.
