Vice President Monty Huffman called the Oct. 28 Trinity ISD regular board meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with a quorum present; President Kevin Searcy was absent. Huffman led the Pledge of Allegiance and the Vision Statement; Dorothy Franklin led the prayer. An open forum was offered and no members of the public chose to speak.
The meeting ran through recognitions, reports and action items and concluded with a motion by Dorothy Franklin (seconded by Elizabeth King) to adjourn at 7:12 p.m. The board also stated that no closed executive session was needed at that time but referenced Texas Government Code Section 551.074 regarding executive-session authority.
