Teacher Jenny Redding, who said she has taught at the district for 26 years, told trustees, "What is best for the kids is Dr. Slaughter." The meeting agenda had listed consultation under Texas Government Code Chapter 551 and personnel matters under Section 551.074, with the termination action referenced under Chapter 21 of the Texas Education Code. The board adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
