TIF eligibility studies for two proposed districts to be presented Feb. 17

City staff will present eligibility findings for two proposed TIF districts (Orchard & Algonquin; Algonquin & Keystone Court) at the Feb. 17 Committee of the Whole meeting as the next statutorily required step under the Illinois TIF Act.
City Manager Rob Sabo announced that the Feb. 17 Committee of the Whole will include a presentation on the results of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) eligibility studies for two proposed districts: one near Orchard and Algonquin Road and another at Algonquin Road and Keystone Court. Sabo said the eligibility studies were conducted as required under the Illinois TIF Act and that the reports are posted on the city's website for public review.
Staff invited residents to review the eligibility study reports online and to contact the City Manager’s office at 847‑394‑8500 with questions. The presentation is part of the statutorily required steps to establish a TIF district and will appear on the Feb. 17 Committee agenda.
