Palos Heights staff to seek bids for citywide advanced metering system after $200,000 state grant

Public Works Director Joe Smith described technical pieces that would make the AMI work, including replacing older external couplers. Staff recorded a motion to purchase 126 touch coupler smart points from Core & Main for $19,782.00 and a motion to approve payment No. 15 to Calumet City Plumbing for the water meter replacement program in the amount of $10,406.00. Because a quorum was not present, committee members did not vote on these measures; Chairman Brennan said he will present items requiring approval to the City Council on Feb. 3, 2026.
