City authorizes FDOT grant application for Cranes Roost mobility programs; match funded by sales tax (Resolution 1483)

City Manager Frank Martz introduced a walk‑on Resolution (1483) explaining the City plans to submit a grant application to the Florida Department of Transportation to support mobility programs at Cranes Roost. Mr. Martz told the Commission the required City match is funded through the Fourth Generation Sales Tax and stated any Joint Participation Agreement would be brought back to the Commission for approval.
A brief exchange took place between Commissioner O’Malley, Mr. Martz and Chief Mobility Officer Lenny Barden regarding the City’s matching contribution. Following discussion the Commission approved Resolution 1483 by unanimous roll call vote. The resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute grant documents as needed subject to subsequent Commission approval of any Joint Participation Agreements.
