Winters ISD trustees approve multi-line budget amendments, schedule April budget workshop

Business Manager Nancy Cooper summarized the rationale for the adjustments and proposed a budget workshop on April 14, 2025 at 5:15 p.m. The amendment package included a $38,000 allocation for a stock trailer (199-00-7912), reductions and increases across Long Term Debt and Function 34 lines, and multiple object-code changes recorded in the minutes. The district also reallocated $35,000 into revenue line 199-00-3700 raising that line from $500,770.00 to $535,770.00 in the revised budget.
Cooper told trustees the amendments address timing and equipment needs and recommended Board adoption so staff can proceed with planned purchases. Trustees approved the motion without recorded dissent. The Board will hold the proposed budget workshop on April 14 and may bring further amendments for consideration at that meeting.
