Board schedules July votes on Medicare and hearing-aid resolutions; no action taken today

Chair McDermott and staff closed the meeting by reviewing the upcoming meeting schedule and actions. Staff said the July 10 meeting will include votes on Medicare premium resolutions and the UMP hearing-instrument resolution, while non-Medicare rates and plan-design changes will be presented for subsequent July votes. "So next meeting is vote on Medicare, learn in public about non Medicare final rates, and then vote the subsequent last meeting of the season on the non Medicare rates," staff said.
Public comment was opened and none was offered. The board did not take any formal votes at this meeting; staff will return with formal resolution language and requested follow-up items (vendor confirmations, wording edits to reduce annual re-votes on subsidy adjustments) ahead of the July actions.
