College reports successful commencement, award and a modest rise in enrollment

President Randy Harp told the Board that 168 graduates participated in the 2026 commencement ceremony and that attendance exceeded expectations, creating overflow conditions in the C.C. Dunlap Fieldhouse; the administration will consider whether to hold one or two ceremonies in future years to better accommodate graduates and families.
Dr. Harp also announced Eastern received PSO's Energy Efficiency 2025 Project of the Year Award. Vice President Anna Peery provided a detailed update on summer camps and student programming, noting the Summer Slam softball tournament is expected to draw approximately 350 students. President Harp said overall Fall 2026 enrollment projections are trending upward by about two to three percent and that recruitment efforts would continue through the summer.
