Molly Christie explained the resolution as a revised version of the draft previously presented on June 26 and said the revision permits the agency to apply the maximum monthly subsidy amount "as established by the legislature and in compliance with RCW 41.05.085." A board member asked that the agency provide a link or clear reference so the public and board members can easily find the exact subsidy amount; staff said the subsidy will be included prominently in annual materials so the board does not have to vote on the specific numeric cap each year.
The resolution was moved, seconded and approved by roll call. After the vote, members discussed the need for more explicit disclosure in meeting materials so anyone reviewing the packet can see the math behind the subsidy and how it is applied to premiums.
