The Selectboard addressed two right-of-way items on July 14. Michael Daube requested a permit to work in the town right of way to repair a water line crossing North Road to Ingalls Road; Ricky Morin motioned to approve the work to town specifications, Clayton Whittemore seconded, and the board approved the permit.
Separately, Gary Smith said he had started working on a new driveway before applying for a permit. The Selectboard noted the current driveway location may be the only viable option given property constraints and asked to visit the site before granting an initial permit; Gary said he was not in a hurry and agreed to a site visit.
These approvals and site checks follow the town’s standard approach of inspecting proposed work in the right of way before formalizing permits.
