The Darlington Community School District board adopted its recommended budget for 2024-25 and set a tax levy of $4,385,263. Motion by Gratz, seconded by Stauffacher, "that the recommended budget be adopted and that taxes be levied and assessed ... a total levy of $4,385,263.00." The motion carried.
The action followed adoption of the clerk’s and treasurer’s statements for the 2023-24 year and a budget hearing presented by District Administrator Cale Jackson. Board members approved the budget by voice motion; the minutes record the formal adoption and levy amount but do not list individual roll-call votes. The board also set a tentative date for the 2025 Annual Meeting and adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
