Members discussed trade-offs between printing new trifold education materials in-house or contracting local print shops and suggested pilot-testing distribution in a few high-traffic locations first. Committee member (S5) reported experience contacting local printers and emphasized volume discounts, while others said existing materials (state or conservation-district brochures) could be adapted rather than recreated.
The council recommended testing small quantities in a few places (visitor center, general store and post office) before undertaking a larger printing order. "For a few $100, you know, we could print a couple thousand brochures," Committee member (S5) said when describing pricing estimates from local shops. The group agreed to prototype a three-slot holder and monitor whether brochures are taken before deciding on larger print runs.
