The Wink-Loving ISD Board of Trustees on Dec. 10 approved an interlocal agreement with the County of Loving to provide furniture, appliances and exercise equipment for a community betterment project. Business Manager Geanna Coker told trustees the total cost for the items is $344,623.51 and that the district would move that amount from Fund Balance into Building Construction & Improvement to cover the expenditure.
"I make a motion to approve Interlocal Agreement for the Community Betterment Project Between the Wink-Loving ISD and the County of Loving as presented," Trustee Raymond Dodd said; Trustee Carrie Purcell seconded the motion and it passed with a unanimous vote. Minutes note that Judge Jones previously had approved the agreement with the commissioners on Oct. 29, 2024. The minutes do not list additional financing details or a project timeline beyond the procurement amount and the fund transfer.
The budget amendment authorizing the fund shift was presented as part of the consent/action items and is recorded in the meeting materials. The board did not record any dissenting votes or conditions attached to approval.
