School Board President Meghan Fessler called the Aug. 18, 2025 meeting to order and the board approved the consent agenda, which included minutes and a package of staffing actions. The motion to approve the consent agenda was moved by Craig Howery and seconded by Bruce Fischer and carried 4-0; Meredith Hughey was recorded as absent.
The consent agenda covered certified staffing recommendations and co-curricular changes. Recorded resignations included Neil Carney (0.5 FTE MHS Technology Education teacher), Olivia Haven (1.0 FTE MPS music teacher, hire pending receipt of an applicable resignation penalty fee), and Callie Moyer (1.0 FTE WIS fifth-grade teacher). The board also approved overload increases for several high-school teachers (for example, Samantha Brockman from 1.0 to 1.084 FTE and Scott Fischer from 1.0 to 1.167 FTE) and a new hire, Jordan Pluff, as a 1.0 FTE WIS Library Media Specialist. Co-curricular items recorded included several coach resignations and the hiring of Gaylen Fronk as a 3.0% MHS JV assistant volleyball coach.
These personnel approvals were recorded as part of the consent agenda vote; the minutes list additional classified resignations and assignment changes as informational personnel items not requiring a separate vote. The board did not take public comment on these items during the meeting.
