Board removes Athletic Code from agenda after 4-1 vote

On the first substantive item, Doug Verdegan moved and Jennifer Heath seconded to remove the Athletic Code from the meeting agenda; Laura Dutter-Nelson voted no and the motion carried on a 4-1 vote.
The board then proceeded with the agenda and later handled routine approvals and personnel items. The change was recorded in the meeting minutes and did not prevent the board from approving multiple hires and policy items later in the evening.
