"If the school board agrees to this and moves forward, then it would go to planning commission, and then it would become county property," Director Martin said. He emphasized that the transfers are intended to "clean up the chain of title" and would not disturb playground areas or change current building uses. A committee motion to forward the proposal to full court passed contingent on school‑board action.
Committee members noted a possible helipad pad and other legacy arrangements on some parcels but said those uses were not part of the current transfer proposal. The committees expect the school board to consider the matter at its next meeting and for planning commission reviews to follow.
