Council ratifies consent agenda; Wendy Perkins sworn in as city clerk

During the consent portion of the Nov. 12 meeting, the Dunsmuir City Council approved minutes, the check register, an amended engineering services agreement for the Butterfly Bridge project with Jacobs Engineering Inc., and a resolution ratifying the appointment of the city clerk. The consent agenda was moved and seconded and carried on roll call.
Following the vote, Wendy Perkins took the oath of office as city clerk. Perkins recited the oath committing to support the constitutions of the United States and California and to faithfully discharge the duties of city clerk. Council members and the mayor congratulated Perkins after the administration of the oath.
The council did not discuss contract financial details during the consent vote; staff later noted the Butterfly Bridge work is federally funded through the Highway Bridge Program when projects were reviewed in the projects discussion.
