Small-business owner says $1,500 conditional-use fee and enforced closure threaten her relocation

Erica Seaglio, owner of the local business Dandelinda, told the Dunsmuir City Council she is relocating her business from 4100 Pine Street to 5814 Dunsmuir Avenue and was informed she must pay "$1,500 for a conditional use permit" and remain closed until the permit is issued.
"These laws were not in effect when I first went into business 5 years ago," Seaglio said, adding the fee and the enforced closure threaten her ability to earn income during the move. She asked the council for flexibility or assistance so she can continue to support herself and contribute to the community.
Council members acknowledged the concern. The presiding officer asked staff (Justin/Jessica) to provide a status update on zoning and any prior planner actions that may have created the current requirement and asked staff to follow up by email.
