Raymondville ISD trustees approve agenda, prior minutes and multi-item consent package

The Raymondville Independent School District Board of Trustees opened its Oct. 8 regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the district boardroom. Board President John L. Solis called for approval of the agenda; Trustee Daniel Garcia moved to approve and Trustee Jaime Villarreal seconded. The motion carried 6-0 (one trustee arrived after that vote).
Trustee Christie Ambriz moved to approve minutes from the Sept. 10 public hearing and Sept. 10 regular meeting; Trustee Veronica Munguia seconded and the motion passed 6-0. Later in the meeting the board approved the consent agenda — covering multiple routine and substantive items — by a 7-0 vote after no items were pulled for separate discussion.
The approved consent package included items on property bids from the Sept. 3 tax resale, revisions to the 2024-25 academic calendar, resolutions designating October as Principals Month and Oct. 9 as Human Resources Day, review and resolutions related to the district's investment policy and training, compensation-plan revisions, contracts and multiple RFP awards. The board announced its next regular meeting for Nov. 12, 2024.
