He told trustees that once new state legislation is signed into law the district should receive about $900,000 in additional funding; district leaders said part of that amount would be earmarked for teacher raises and that a higher multiplier for small and medium districts would increase RFISD’s funding.
Dr. Holt also noted the district would be featured in an upcoming magazine article about top school districts. Trustees agreed to move the May board meeting from May 22 to May 20 to avoid conflicting with the last day of school.
