St. Albans swore in Patrolman Zachary Robinson in a brief ceremony during Monday’s council meeting. Police Department leadership introduced Robinson’s background — he grew up in Elizabeth, West Virginia; has been a St. Albans resident for three years; and served 12 years in the West Virginia Army National Guard — and Robinson recited the oath to uphold the constitutions and local ordinances.
“He grew up in Elizabeth, West Virginia,” Police Chief Carney said when introducing Robinson’s service record, noting military roles that include combat engineering and training. Council members welcomed Robinson and offered congratulations; the officer’s wife, Liz, and the couple’s puppy, Athena, were present during the swearing-in.
