The county’s Personnel Committee recommended, and the board approved, changing the WIC Coordinator position from 0.8 full-time equivalent to 1.0 FTE and updating the job description to add supervisory duties. The minutes state funding will come from the Foundational Public Health Responsibilities Grant and the change will not alter benefit eligibility.
The committee also recommended adding a 1.0 FTE Public Health Nurse to provide Family Home Visiting services, with funding identified as a combination of grants and PMAP billing. Both staffing changes were recorded in the consent agenda approved by the board.
