The Wheaton City Council voted unanimously on Feb. 2 to adopt Ordinance O‑2026‑06, granting a rezoning and special‑use permit for property commonly known as 119–125 E. Front Street for CFXN Properties, LLC.
City Manager Michael Dzugan reminded the council that it had served as the hearing body for the Jan. 26, 2026 public hearing on the application. The ordinance rezones the parcel from C‑2 (Retail Core) to C‑4 (CBD Perimeter Commercial) and authorizes a special use to permit off‑street parking on a separate lot within 300 feet of the building or use served, subject to applicable conditions.
Councilman Brown moved and Councilman Weller seconded the motion to pass the ordinance. The roll call vote recorded ayes from the mayor and all present councilmembers; Councilman Clousing was absent. The ordinance passed unanimously and will be administered by the City’s Planning and Economic Development department.
