County approves preapproval to accept EGLE grants for PFAS work at airport sites

Staff also presented a roughly $1,000,000 EGLE grant for additional testing and remediation at the former Marquette County Airport (Negaunee site). The board gave preapproval to accept the grants and authorized the board chair to sign contracts when they are formalized; details and scope will be defined in subsequent grant documents and RFPs for contractors.
