The committee added two procurement items — an RFP for a building inspector and an RFP for village legal counsel — and agreed to a special meeting to advance both.
Committee members discussed how to publish the RFPs (village website, local newspapers or commercial services) and whether the board needs to approve advertising costs. Staff said advertising could be done by email and through the village website and suggested a special meeting to formally approve RFP publication. "Tomorrow morning, I'll email out for availability for the June 9 to make sure we'll have a quorum," Staff member (Speaker 3) said while the group settled on June 9 as a target date for the special meeting.
The group also discussed a bid-opening timeline and the need to allow statutorily required protest windows after bid openings; staff recommended scheduling interviews and candidate reviews shortly after bids close. Next steps: staff will draft the RFP publication plan, circulate it to trustees, and schedule the June 9 special meeting if a quorum is available.
