Committee moves to finalize postcards, posters and directional signs for July 4

Staff member (Speaker 3) asked committee members to review marketing copy and confirmed the postcard schedule and poster art require final edits and ordering soon to meet vendor lead times. “The postcard is the 1st thing we need to order and the poster is right behind it,” Staff member (Speaker 3) said.
The committee reviewed banner sizes, directional yard signs and the number of sandwich boards to place around town. Staff said they plan to order 25 directional yard signs (18 x 24 inches) and several large banners; public works will assist with installation at village-owned easements and key corners (including the Preserve Road/Indian Road area and the approach to Shabbona). The group discussed placement limits along Preserve Road because of utilities and IDOT approvals for signs adjacent to state routes.
Next actions: staff will produce a revised poster draft for review, place the postcard order to meet printing timelines and coordinate with public works on banner and yard-sign placement.
