Trustees discussed whether board packets should be posted on the village website prior to meetings to increase transparency. After weighing the additional redaction workload, the clerk agreed to post board packets as part of the clerk's duties and the board voted to begin posting starting with the June meeting.
On the subject of meeting recordings, a trustee offered to provide recordings and the board voted to direct the clerk to upload recordings to the village website within 10 days after the meeting, while retaining an unedited legal copy for the village's records.
"I'll motion to have the clerk upload the recordings of meetings on the village website within 10 days after the meeting," a trustee said before the motion carried. Trustees also discussed camera coverage and possible redaction needs and asked the clerk to log uploaded files and note any corrupted or missing recordings.
