Clerk Jen Morrison announced that she received a letter and email from village attorney Keith Foster resigning effective immediately and thanked him for decades of service.
"He did represent the village for 42 years and I thank him for his time," Jen Morrison said. The board discussed next steps: trustees asked staff to prepare a request for proposals so the board can solicit local and regional law firms and determine fee schedules. Members also discussed informal outreach to neighboring municipalities to identify potential candidates.
Trustees emphasized they want an RFP on a near-term agenda for review. The board did not take a final hiring vote at this meeting; instead members instructed staff to draft an RFP and present it to the board for consideration and candidate recruitment.
