Indian Creek Township trustees set caucus date, approve bills and raise elected salaries

At its Oct. 16 meeting, the Indian Creek Township Board of Trustees set a GOP caucus for Dec. 3, approved routine minutes, bills and the financial report, and unanimously adopted salary increases for elected township officers ahead of next spring’s election.
Supervisor Ron McAnulty called the Indian Creek Township Board of Trustees to order at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16, 2024, and the board conducted roll call with all trustees present. The board approved the Sept. 18 minutes, voted to pay presented bills and accepted the financial report, each motion passing unanimously after standard motions and seconds by trustees.
The meeting’s substantive new-business action was a package of salary increases for elected township positions. After a staff-provided history on past increases and a reminder that raises must be set at least 180 days before the April 1 election, trustees voted to raise the Road Commissioner salary to $45,000, the Supervisor to $23,000, the Clerk to $11,000, and Trustee pay to $125 per meeting. The board adjourned at 7:48 p.m.
