Trustees request school-level summer performance data, ADA loss report and other follow-ups

After presentations trustees asked for Friday memos with the traditional summer-school passing rates, school-by-school Math Academy enrollment and completion breakdowns, loss-of-ADA figures by school, a dual-enrollment inventory, and updates on behavioral health and the adult transition center.
At the end of the meeting trustees used the roundtable to request specific follow-up information from staff. Trustee Padilla asked for (1) school-by-school passing rates for the district's traditional summer program by grade, and (2) the loss-of-ADA report for each campus, noting that a 1% attendance improvement could yield approximately $1 million in additional revenue for programs. He also asked staff to provide the dollar value of Rio Hondo College's investment in the Math Academy.
Other trustees asked for a dual-enrollment breakdown by site (delivery schedule, whether credit is counted on high-school and college transcripts), an update on the Child and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative partnership and mental-health services, and a construction update on the adult transition center. Trustee Padilla also proposed a certificate of recognition for Rio Hondo College and suggested a later visit and formal presentation to the community college board.
The superintendent's office agreed to provide requested materials in Friday memos; trustees flagged some items for fuller reports at future meetings.
